ESG
Our commitment to the environment, our people and how we run the company
Built into how we work
Environmental, social and governance principles sit in the top tier of decision-making at Dacha SSI. They shape the systems we specify, the way we run jobs, and how we look after our people, customers and suppliers — from our UK headquarters at Innovation House in Ringwood and our Ireland office at Acorn Business Park in Cork.
Environmental — enabling a greener future. Social — empowering social progress. Governance — driving transparent leadership. That is not a side project. It is how we design, install and support security systems, and how we expect to be held to account.
Environmental
We run an independently audited environmental management system (ISO 14001). We work to cut the impact of our own operations: a lower-emission vehicle fleet, renewable energy in our offices, and a technical helpdesk that triages calls so engineers do not travel unless they need to.
When we specify CCTV, access control and related systems, we consider power use, product life and whether a lower-energy option will still do the job. Waste from site comes back with us if there is nowhere to recycle it. Electronic waste is handled under WEEE, with reuse and modular upgrades favoured over throwing equipment away.
Social
We aim for a safe, inclusive workplace where people can train, contribute and stay well. That includes professional development, mental health support, flexible and remote working where the role allows, and practical measures such as sit-stand desks and support for cycling to work.
We sponsor grassroots football and rugby in the communities we work in, so local sport is not only for those who can easily afford it.
Governance
Quality, information security and environmental management are independently certified. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials. Policies, training and risk management sit behind that — including how we handle information on live sites.
We expect suppliers to take this seriously, prefer partners who can talk about their own environmental and social standards, and look for products with long-term support. See our accreditations.
A journey, not a finish line.
We keep reviewing how we operate, what we specify, and how we look after people and data. The same standards apply in the UK and Ireland.
Lower-impact operations
Hybrid and electric vehicles, renewable energy in our offices, and remote support so we only send an engineer when the job needs one.
Better specified systems
Energy use and product life are part of design, not an afterthought. Customers get options that balance performance with a lighter footprint.
Certified management
ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials are independently assessed. They sit behind the work, not just in the footer.
