Dacha SSI designs, installs and supports CCTV, access control, analytics and intruder systems for businesses and public-sector sites. The company was set up by people who had already worked at the top of the industry and wanted the specifying and the aftercare to be better. More on our About Us page.

We install and maintain systems across the United Kingdom and Ireland, from our offices in Ringwood and Cork. Local examples are on our areas we cover page — the work is nationwide, not limited to those cities.

Yes. Healthcare, industrial, commercial, education, utilities, leisure and spa & wellness are the sectors we show because we do a lot of them. If your site is something else, contact us and we will tell you whether we are a fit.

We do not install small domestic CCTV packages. Our day-to-day work is commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, leisure and similar sites. Larger or more complex residential properties can be discussed — get in touch and we will say if it is a job for us.

Yes. People who work for Dacha SSI go through background checks before they are sent to site.

Yes. Customers can log and track support tickets in our customer portal. If you do not have a login yet, ask us when the system is handed over, or contact support.

CCTV and video

CCTV (closed-circuit television) is cameras connected to recording and monitoring, so you can see and review what happens on a site. Dacha SSI specifies and maintains these systems for workplaces, not as a gadget shop. See our CCTV page.

You cannot usually plug IP cameras into an old analogue recorder and expect them to work. On many sites we can use a hybrid recorder, keep analogue cameras that still do a job, and add IP cameras in stages. We look at what you have before recommending a full swap-out.

We specify Axis, Milestone, Ava and Hanwha as standard, and other partners where the site needs them. The right manufacturer depends on the job, not a logo on the homepage.

We specify Axis, Milestone, Ava and Hanwha as standard. Some public-sector and critical sites have rules about which cameras can be used. If you already have another manufacturer on site, we will tell you what we can support and what we would recommend instead.

Yes, if the system is set up for remote access and has a working connection. We can enable this on new installs and on many existing systems, with the right logins and security in place.

Yes. Maintenance is a core part of how we work — a camera that is not recording is not a security system. Email a short description of what you have and we will come back with how we would look after it.

Yes. Default passwords, old firmware and open remote access are common. We harden the systems we install, and we can audit existing CCTV and access kit and tell you what needs to change.

Number-plate recognition, people counting, PPE detection and similar analytics, depending on the cameras and software. Details are on our analytics page.
Access, intruder and monitoring

People present a credential — a card, PIN, phone or QR code — to open a door, turnstile or barrier. Who can go where, and when, is set in software. More on our access management page.

Doors, turnstiles, vehicle barriers and most other points where entry or exit can be locked electrically. If it can be controlled, it can usually sit on the same system.

Yes. Mobile credentials are now a normal way to open doors. A lost phone is locked; a lost card is not. It also cuts the cost of replacing cards.

Sometimes. Some manufacturers lock cards to their own system. Tell us what you have on each site and we will say whether one credential can work across them.

On the right platforms, yes. Operators can jump from a door event or alarm to the matching camera, which is a much faster way to see what is going on. We will say whether your current kit can do it or whether it needs a change.

Yes. As an SSAIB-certified installer we can install and maintain intruder systems with 24/7 police response monitoring, including Grade 4 where that is required. See intruder.

Yes. Systems can be wired, wireless or hybrid, with access on site, remotely, or via a 24/7 monitoring team.

Yes. We are independent, so the recommendation is for the site, not for one supplier’s catalogue. There is no obligation to buy. Details on our intruder page.

Yes. We can bring several locations into one view for a control room or a remote operator. See control room.
Standards, data and aftercare

Yes. We are SSAIB certified for electronic security systems, and we also hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, CHAS and SafeContractor. What each badge means is on our accreditations page.

ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 27001 (information security). They are independently audited management systems, not a logo we designed ourselves. Accreditations has the detail.

Video, drawings and credentials are treated as sensitive. We encrypt connections where the system allows it, we do not leave default passwords in place, and we recommend two-factor authentication on remote logins so a stolen password is not enough. That sits under our ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials controls.

IP ratings describe dust and water protection. Outdoor cameras are typically specified at IP66 or IP67 so they stand up to weather. Indoor cameras do not need the same rating. We match the camera to the location rather than using one number everywhere.

Yes. How we run vehicles, offices, waste and the systems we specify is on our ESG page. We do not publish the annual figures online; the page is how we work, not a yearly scorecard.

We publish practical articles on the blog. For a specific site, a survey is more useful than a generic list.
